A bit of knowledge

Guitar wisdom:

Palm muting is quite the used tool isn’t it?  The little white dots are your friends.

Quote of the year: Life is too short to spend time being abused by people.  Get these people the Heck out of your life…

Fun Summer Travels

Long time no chat.  Had a few trips in the last several months.  There is the honeymoon to San Antonio in March.  That was fun.  Lots of good restaurants and neat shops along the river walk.  We visited some friends in the Cities in May.  There we saw some cool shows at Club 3 degrees, and also went canoeing down the St Croix River.

We went to Grand Island Nebraska and visited my Uncle and then went to a family reunion in Omaha.  We had a good time enjoying the milder weather and playing horseshoes.  A few days after that, Lexi myself and my friend Josh went on a shopping spree in Sioux  Falls.  I found some neat deals all over town and we enjoyed some authentic foods.

Last weekend we had a great time at Family Camp at Cooperstown Bible Camp.  Lexi’s family came with us and we went canoeing, disc golfing and even shot some guns together.  There was a Norwegian family having their reunion the first night of camp.  They had a band playing folk music, it was pretty festive.  I also had a chance to hang out with my buddy Thomas and get to know him a little better exclusively.

This Fall, Halo 3 is coming out.  Lexi gave me the ok on getting a 360 by then.  I’m pretty excited.

School sucks.  Seems they are adding more classes for me to complete in order to graduate.  I finally understand the true meaning of the 3rd Eye Blind song, "Can Not Graduate"!  GIVE ME A BREAK

I’ve wanted a few things for quite a while now, and they are finally happening.  I’ve wanted to be with a group of guys in a “band” or what ever playing guitar, and I’ve been asked to be in one.  The lead guitar player is like the best in town, and the lead singer is really good, so I am trying to be the best I can be at both.  I definitely have a lot of room for improvement.  Volume is a key thing when playing with others, I have to adjust the foot volume pedal quite a bit throughout songs.  Singing harmony is a task as well.  I have no idea how my voice sounds over all the instruments and if it’s matching the singers.

I’ve finally been working an operator job where I work, that is, I am working a job that allows me to be in charge of 2 or 3 workers.  I’ve wanted this job for quite a while and am finally able to do it, but I think the reason is because there is way more work than workers.  Most of my crew has been with the company for like a week.

Both of these things I’ve wanted for a while, but I’m not really happy, because school is really getting over bearing, and I also have a side job painting a guys house and that could be going a lot better.  I have not too much time to myself.  Pray for me in this, thanx -N
